DO NOT DRIVE - Warns Ford and Mazda

Owners of some older Ford and Mazda vehicles in Canada are being warned to stop driving because of a serious airbag defect.

Approximately 146,650  Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicle models are impacted as well as 71,000 Mazda vehicles in Canada.

The warning applies to the owners of the following Ford cars and trucks who have not yet completed air bag inflator recalls 15S21, 17S42 and 19S01: Including;

2004-2006 Ford Ranger trucks and 2007-2011 Ford Ranger trucks

2005-2014 Ford Mustang vehicles

2005-2006 Ford GT vehicles
2006-2012 Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan, Lincoln MKZ/Zephyr vehicles

2007-2010 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX vehicles

Ford Owners should call their local Ford Dealer with the vehicle Vin number, or Call Ford Canada at 1-800-565-3673

The do-not-drive warning applies to customers whose Mazda vehicles have not been repaired under the 1317F, 1417G, 1817L, 1917L, 2118A, 2418A, and 2618F driver and passenger airbag inflators recalls.

2004-2010 B-series

2004-2008 Mazda6

2006-2007 Mazdaspeed6

2004-2008 RX8 and 2009-2011 RX8

2007-2012 CX-7

2007-2015 CX-9

2009-2013 Mazda6
